Abstract / topic summary
During this workshop session, we will outline the history and use cases regarding the migration of data from various FINA collections and database sources. We will discuss FINA’s current workflow for analyzing descriptive and digital asset data and collaboratively develop a data table for automated migration, including the import of associated files. The session will also cover methods for executing automated data migration into collection databases (such as CSV table transfers and PowerShell scripts). We will conclude the session by jointly performing a migration of film stills into FINA’s Collection Management System.
